The 900 kWp Smart Solar utility at K-citymarket Kupittaa is one of the two largest utilities in Finland.
2600 high efficiency solar panels provide 16 % of the buildings annual electricity consumption. During peak production on sunny summer days the utility provides up to 60% of the current electricity consumption.
The Smart Solar utility is integrated to asset managers centralised monitoring of building automation to further reduce O&M costs by avoiding overlapping service contracts. Production statistics are delivered via API integration to energy portfolio manager who takes solar production and forecast into account for energy procurement optimization yielding further cost reductions.

Production statistic are displayed on digital signage displays converted into tangible figures for target audience (Electric vehicle milage, family electricity consumption etc).
