Solnet Group has completed a large solar utility for a global automotive manufacturer in the UK with Onsite Energy

Solnet Group has completed a 5.1MW solar utility for a global automotive manufacturer in the UK together with Onsite Energy.

The solar utility comprises 8,843 panels and 58,000 metres of cabling, addressing approximately 10% of the site’s baseload demand. The installation project required complex site logistics, with the PV array on the embankment and teardrop of a high-speed test track. Onsite Energy and Solnet Group could still construct the site in only 9 weeks.

The plant was implemented with an 8-year PPA agreement, allowing customers to progress on cost and CO2 targets without Capex. With long-term Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), businesses and municipalities can save money and secure their energy procurement far into the future. PPAs guarantee the buyer a fixed, low electricity price for the long term, which helps protect against market fluctuations.

It's great to be advancing the green transition of the automotive industry also.
